Candwich Product Launch
Launch a new sandwich in the convenience food industry.
CA Marketing directed the marketing and public relations efforts to launch the Candwich brand that included developing product sheets, fact sheets, and web site content to create a consistent brand image across all touchpoints. We also created and pitched a robust media list of food enthusiasts, mommy bloggers, radio djs and outdoor camping reporters to get the word out on this tasty, convenient and healthy sandwich .
To communicate the launch of the peanut butter and grape jelly, Candwich embarked on a national media relations campaign to get key influencers to taste the sandwich in a can. Hundreds of sandwiches were mailed out to key media to test the ease of assembling the sandwich, its freshness and taste. And, we launched a Facebook page to communicate with customers and announce new products.
As a result of the initial campaign, Candwich was featured in multiple media outlets from Steven Colbert and Good Day Sacramento, business stories in Today.com and Utah Business, product spotlight in Central Oregon Magazine and American Hunter, and several clear channel radio station on-air promotions and social media mentions across the US. The media coverage and awareness also peaked interest from Wal-Mart Stores. This resulted in product placement in several stores nationwide.
